Enjoy Our Backyard
No matter what time of year you choose to visit, the Barossa Valley will delight you with its breathtaking views. It truly is a patchwork quilt of contrasting shades and colours that shift with each season.
Summer
As the entire region gears up for yet another vintage, the vines are bursting with brilliant green foliage and an abundance of premium fruit. The vibrance of the vines contrasts so beautifully against the pale, crisp ground of the hills behind it.
Autumn
When the days begin to cool and the hard work of vintage comes to an end, visitors and locals alike are treated to a view like no other, as the vines change from brilliant green to radiant hues of ochre, gold and crimson.
Winter
As the final leaves drop from the vines & they lay dormant in the cooler months, a lush, green carpet spreads across the rolling hills. This provides yet another season of stark contrast against the vines, and one that is filled with wonder and beauty.
Spring
At the beginning of Spring, look closely and you may be fortunate to witness the very first shoots of the next vintage appearing on the vines. This tradition of ‘Budburst’ occurs against the backdrop of the rolling hills and cereal crops which again begin to change colour and shape.
Experience wine country
Today, the Barossa is one of the world’s premier wine regions and throughout every season you can catch sight of devoted grape growers and vignerons tending to their blocks – many of which are the fourth, fifth or even sixth generation to work the same rows.
While advances in technology has brought the latest machinery to the Barossa – look closer. You’ll still catch a glimpse of the old ways, with grapes being hand-picked, vines delicately hand-pruned, vintages being traditionally crushed and basket-pressed, before being lovingly crafted into the finest drops.
